Make Missions A Priority!

Mission Priority One is the emphasis for October. The four main pillars of Missions:

  1. Prayer - To encourage people to pray for all efforts of global evangelization.
  2. Global Awareness - To inform people of the world’s needs and what the church is doing to meet those needs.
  3. Children and Youth - To challenge children and youth to learn about and participate in the missions of the church and to respond to God’s call.
  4. Giving - To raise funds for missions outreach.

Ongoing Events

House of James

Missionary to the Ukraine, Sean Johnson, spoke to us about the work there. “Many homeless children in the Ukraine are in need of your help. At the ‘House of James’ their mission is to provide shelter, food, clothes, education, a warm bed and a message of hope and love through the gospel of GOD.”

The Fiji Boat & Jesus Film Projects

Rev. Harmon and Cindy Schmelzenbach have served since 2000 as fourth generation Nazarene missionaries. Based in Fiji, they coordinate both the JESUS Film and FIJIBoat Projects for the South Pacific Field Church of the Nazarene. They send an email newsletter about their work in Fiji.

District Missions

Pick up a copy of Desert N.M.I. Data, a Newsletter for the Arizona District Nazarene Missions International, Sundays on the free-literature table in the lobby.

Work & Witness

Work & Witness - Building God's Kingdom by Personal InvolvementOur church is heavily involved in Work & Witness through donations and volunteer laborers. There are many W&W trips throughout the year that can involve those from teenagers on up.

No particular skills are necessary, just your willingness to help others. Prayerfully consider what part God would have you take.
