Do you have trouble setting boundaries in your life, either on yourself or on others, such as family members or workmates? Have you ever met a person or been in a situation where you were unable to express yourself honestly? Have you found it difficult to say no to habits or thoughts or people in appropriate ways? If so, this course, Boundaries, is for you!
This seminar, based on the various Boundaries books and videos by Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend, will be a tremendous help in knowing how to set appropriate Boundaries in your own life. If you are one who has been wounded in the past, abused or taken advantage of because of not having strong healthy boundaries, this course is for you. Most of us learn some boundary setting in our childhood years, but major trauma and abusive figures in our lives can create wounds and unhealthy habits for functioning in relationships. What you need are new habits and skills learned and experienced in a safe setting.
The only cost for you is the purchase of a reading book, Boundaries, by Cloud and Townsend, and the energy and effort to participate, grow, and learn new skills and attitudes. The book will be available for $10.00 at the first session, or you can purchase them online, or in nearly any bookstore in the area, or get an iBook version.

Celebrate Recovery® is a Biblical based recovery program for anyone who senses their life presently is unmanageable. This is a format that encourages anonymity, and yet provides personal support that is powerful and effective because of God and the mutual encouragement of fellow travelers on the "journey".
All who are seeking help are welcome. The leaders are fellow travelers who know what it is to struggle with various habits, hurts, and hang-ups. Of course, anonymity is encouraged.
We meet at Tempe Nazarene Church, 3929 S. Rural Rd., Tempe, AZ in Room 101 on the SW corner of the campus. Signs will point you from a nearby parking lot in front of the building.
Because Friday evenings are often a challenge for those who need Celebrate Recovery, we meet at 7:00 p.m. every Friday evening including holidays. Our meetings typically start with a celebration and teaching time, then we take a break, and move into small groups for processing and support.

DivorceCare® helps you recover from the pain of separation and divorce. There aren't many people around you who understand the pain your separation or divorce has caused. To you. Your family. Your friends.
That's the reason for DivorceCare. It's a special weekly support group and seminar conducted by people who understand what you are experiencing. Most importantly, you'll learn how to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.
At DivorceCare, you'll become part of a small support group of people who are also experiencing separation and divorce. You'll meet others who understand what you are feeling and who will be able to offer you encouragement. You'll also have a chance to talk about the information presented during the DivorceCare seminar. Many participants say these support groups are the most helpful part of the program.
DivorceCare features 13 dynamic video seminars featuring 32 renowned experts on divorce and recovering, including:
Kay Arthur, Dr. Bob Barnes, Sabrina D. Black, Dr. Les Carter, Rob Eagar, Dr. Tony Evans, Dr. Archibald Hart, Bonnie Keen, Dr. Craig Keener, Elsa Kok, Dr. Linda Mintle, Dr. Myles Munroe, Rose Sweet, Dr. Jim Talley, H. Norman Wright, Cynthia Yates, Dr. Spiros Zodhiates, and many others!

GriefShare video sessions are designed to help you successfully travel the journey from mourning to joy.
You are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any session. Each of the thirteen sessions is “self-contained”, so you do not have to attend in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin. You will be able to continue with GriefShare through the next cycle and view any of the videos you have not seen.

Leadership Training Seminar is an intense discipleship experience that will cover not only how to become a committed disciple of Jesus but also how to disciple others through your regular influence and care. This seminar will also deal with major lay theological issues and practices, such as the Word of God in the Life of the Believer, the Nature of Man, the Nature of God, the Born Again Experience, the Spirit-filled-Life, Spiritual Warfare, Spiritual Gifts, Temptation, Faith, Leadership, Personal Evangelism, Developing Priorities, and much more.
We will memorize one Bible verse per week, establish a personal devotional life—including regular scripture reading, prayer, journaling, and approximately fifty pages of assigned great Christian reading per week.
The Leadership Training Group Seminar will meet in Room 101 of Tempe Nazarene Church, 3929 S. Rural Road, Tempe, Arizona, 85282, every Monday for the next two years.
We will meet on Mondays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. beginning September 13, 2010. Since one topic depends on the processing of another and upon the group process itself, we'll ask that participants be regular in attendance.
The Leadership Training Seminar is open to any Christian in quest of a deep, rich, meaningful life with God. If you've always wondered how to feed yourself spiritually, this may be for you. If you've wondered about how to overcome temptation and addiction to the world, this may be for you. If you've wondered how to go about “making disciples”, this may be for you.
Pastor Lane and Lois Zachary will facilitate this experience during the next two years.
The initial materials, course notebook with dividers, Discipleship Journal, course text book, and first reading book will cost $50 at the beginning of session one. Thereafter, the only expense will be one or two reading books per month average, approximately $10 to $15 per book.
Of course, the far greater cost is in your willingness to invest significant portions of your time each day and week in this great adventure with Christ.

Love & Respect is a DVD and discussion seminar based on the presentations of Dr. Emerson and Sara Eggerichs from his best-selling book Love & Respect: The Love She Most Deserves; The Respect He Desperately Needs.
A wife has one driving need—to feel loved. When that need is met, she is happy. A husband has one driving need—to feel respected. When that need is met, he is happy. When either of these needs isn't met, things get crazy. A very humorous yet deeply profound five week seminar on how to build a highly successful marriage: the one you've always dreamed about.
Based on over three decades of counseling, as well as scientific and biblical research, Dr. Emerson Eggerichs and his wife, Sarah, have already taken the Love and Respect message across America and are changing the way couples talk to, think about, and treat each other.
What do you want for your marriage? Want some peace? Want to feel close? Want to feel valued? Want to experience marriage the way God intended? Then why not try some Love and Respect.
All the teaching will be on the Eggerichs' DVDs and by discussions with your fellow attendees. The seminar is open to any adult whether married or thinking about it. Both spouses should attend, but anyone can receive enormous help and understanding from the rich presentation.
Brian and Sharon Delbridge are the facilitators for the sessions.
The cost is $12.00 for the best-selling book for you to read. In order to determine if there is sufficient interest, you'll need to register at the Welcome Center along with your payment. The registration deadline is January 22.
