Dear Church Family,
Today, we honor and celebrate the faithful leadership of Pastor Jon Privett, who on Sunday announced his retirement date of December 31, 2025. We are deeply grateful for his years of service and the lasting impact he has made in our lives and community. With this announcement, we can’t help but reflect on the stories, friendships, and memories that have shaped our life together as a church family.
As we prepare for the assignment of a new Senior Pastor, I have asked to start a church review. This review will help us ensure we steward our resources wisely, protect a healthy balance for staff and volunteers, and strengthen our partnership with the preschool ministry.
To guide this important process, I’ve asked Randall Davey and Brittany Hart to oversee the review and serve during this transition season. Their leadership will provide a deeper understanding of our church family and invaluable insight in identifying and recommending our next Senior Pastor.
What to Expect in the Coming Weeks
In the coming weeks, we will hold listening sessions along with meetings with staff, volunteers, and members of our congregation. These will give everyone an opportunity to share input and reflections about our church. We look forward to hearing your stories, memories, and hopes for the future as part of this process.
After that, Randall and Brittany will review ministry alignment and prayerfully assess how we can continue to strengthen our mission together.
Regular updates will be shared during Sunday services and through church emails.
Once the review is complete, the church board and I will use these insights in the calling of the next Senior Pastor.
We invite you to join us in prayer as we walk through this season together—asking God for wisdom, unity, and continued faithfulness to His mission.
With gratitude and hope,
Rev. Dr. Brad Estep
