What is a Small Group?
Small groups are a place where you can love and grow. A small group is a group of people who gather weekly to love, encourage, challenge, and care for one another for the purpose of becoming fully devoted followers of Christ.
Why do I need to be part of a Small Group?
Simply put, “we need one another.” God made us that way. He designed us to be His personal agents to love, encourage, challenge, and care for one another. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:34–35).
When and where do Small Groups meet?
They meet at a time and place that is convenient for the whole group.
What about childcare?
Each group will need to workout childcare, either as a group or individually. There are many groups that welcome children.
What do Small Groups discuss or study together?
As needed, groups can choose from a number of recommended curriculums to address specific areas for continued transformation, building relationships and equipping for service.
What is the life expectancy of a Small Group?
Every group will be different. However, we encourage each group to commit to one another for a set period of time. Then you can decide whether to recommit for an additional period of time, lose members, or add members. The school year (September—May) is a good guideline for a minimal commitment.
